Amongst international flights projected to depart from the US in the next three months, Latin America and the Caribbean area remain top destinations; Tokyo, the only Asian destination, is also gradually gaining popularity.
Korea Duty Free Sales vs. Hainan Duty Free Sales
With more outbound travel activity from Chinese travelers, Korean Duty Free sales are picking up, yet still 55% below that of 2019. The Hainan Duty Free market slowed down during the off-peak season, operating at 7% below last year and 80% more than 2019.

Giorgo Armani presented their latest high-jewellery launch at Piz Nair, while a pop-up in Aspen by Revolve Group stocked brands like Balenciaga, Burberry, Ferragamo and Rabanne. Moncler inaugurated the first ever flagship store of its Grenoble line in St Moritz, while Zegna has opened a boutique on Via Serlas selling a version of its triple-stitch shoe, the Vetta, dedicated to the mountains of Engadin.

Changi Airport passenger traffic recovers spectacularly

Singapore Changi Airport served 58.9 million passengers in 2023, almost double that of 2022 and representing 86% of the traffic level in 2019. For the quarter from October to December, passenger traffic passed 90% recovery compared to pre-pandemic 2019 with 16.1 million passengers, with December being the busiest month of the year.
